The competition is open to packaging that is primarily
metal. Other materials may form a part of the packaging,
but only to augment the metal content.
The fee for the initial entry is 120 euros which includes
a seat at the Cans of the Year Gala Dinner. Fee for each
subsequent entry is 80 euros.

It is recommended that a company representative attend
the dinner in the event that their entry is shortlisted.

All entries for Cans of the Year must be in commercial
production by 28 July 2008, except for the prototype
category. Entries from the Prototype category are not
considered for the overall Can of the Year Award.

Each entry must be made on a separate entry form.
There is no limit to the number of entries.

Three samples must be submitted with each entry.

A can may be entered into more than one category,
but it will still be classed as one entry.

If cans are entered into more than one category (for
example Beverage and Decoration or Food and Aerosols)
then an entry form must be completed and samples
provided for each category.

The judges’ decision is final.

Note: SPG Events cannot be responsible for any import
duties. State on paperwork when shipping cans that
they are of no commercial value.

No other representation with regards to this
competition should be made by entrants to any
members of the Sayers Publishing Group,
SPG Events or any of the judges.
