The Canmaker Magazine Cans of the Year Awards have championed the cause of the can since 1996, when they made their first appearance alongside Cannex in Maastricht, The Netherlands.
The Awards were introduced to celebrate, promote and reward the huge amount of innovative, ground-breaking work that takes place within the metal packaging industry each year.
Since their inception, the Awards have grown in size and stature to achieve international recognition. Entries are received from across the whole industry, ranging from multi-nation corporations through to independent family-run businesses.
Entry to The Canmaker Magazine Cans of the Year Awards 2009 is free-of-charge, with the Awards being presented at a Gala Dinner alongside The Canmaker Summit in Dubai on the evening of 28 October.
As in previous years, category winners will be selected by an experienced team of industry specialists who award gold, silver and bronze classifications to the most outstanding entries. Attendees at The Canmaker Summit will have a place at the Gala Dinner and an opportunity to vote for the Delegate's Choice category winner.
